Wizards Have a Secret
Knowledge

Some surfers seem to defy natural
laws of physics impeccably performing incredulous acts
while dancing on the waves. These ectosurfers having
attained surfrealization are known as wave wizards.
Wave wizards can levitate, disappear, and reappear
at will on ocean waves using an invisible high voltage
vital force radiateing from the sea. Their secret knowledge
is very powerful indeed as is the source from which
it comes.
Wave wizards are surfers who are able
to look out over the ocean and see a swimmer in trouble
before the swimmer ever leaves the beach. They are able
to spot waves coming in far off the distant horizon
long before they materialize close to shore. Wave
wizards are able to paddle out perculating
through waves that wash other surfers back to shore.
Wave wizards have an acute sensitivity
to weather conditions, winds, tides, temperatures and
all of nature. Using sheer animale magnetism the biggest
and best waves are always attracted to them. Even though
a wave wizard can catch all the waves
they choose instead to share waves with fellow surfers.
Becoming a wave wizard is no easy task
and takes years of dedication and pure hearted devotion
to accomplish. There are four stages a surfer goes through
to become a wave wizard. Step one is
to begin. Step two is to become. Step three is to master.
Step four is to elipticate or come full circle. A surfer
must master step one before moving unto step two and
so on or risk grave danger. A surfer who follows these
simple steps will gain valuable wisdom that accompanies
knowledge. Knowledge with out wisdom is dangerous.
When a catipillar is becoming a butterfly it cannot
rush the process. The catipillarfs sole job is to eat,
eat, and eat some more so it builds up the amount of
vital force it will take to become a strong healthy
butterfly. If the catipillar had a choice it may well
wish to skip or shorten this stage and go right into
being the butterfly. At best if the catipillar succeeded
in itfs wish it would become an underdeveloped butterfly,
not reaching itfs full potential.
There was once an aspiring wave wizard
who had just enough knowledge to surf but not enough
wisdom to recognise his limits or current capacity.
For this surfer surfing was about being better than
the other surfers, having what he considered better
surfing equipment and trying to impress others. He wanted
badly to outshine the other surfers and show everyone
what he could do and how great he was. This surfer did
possess the knowledge to proceed but did not possess
enough wisdom to not proceed when conditions in reality
where beyond him. He was in a hurry to become a wave
wizard.
The surfer in this true story attempted to rush his
development process for becoming a wave wizard
and impetuously chose to go out on a big day at La Jolla
Cove when the waves where way to much for him. Withstanding
the admonishment of his surfing mentuer not to go this
day he non the less continued on his way. Anyone who
has ever surfed La Jolla Cove knows with the long intervals
inbetween waves paddling out can be easy. Surfers can
paddle out with out ever getting their hair wet. Paddling
out for this surfer was no different, he made it out
easily. As he paddled his mind drifted to visions of
being photographed on one of these behemoth La Jolla
Cove liquid jewels. He thought of his friends back east,
how great they would think he is. He had seen pictures
in the magazines practiced his basics and knew he could
do it, after all if others could do it so could he.
Never mind years of development and training he felt
he did not need, he was confident with the knowledge
he had.
Low and behold the big wave sets did come steaming in.
As fast as he had rushed out his heart began beating
even faster. As his body beginning to stiffen (when
he should have been relaxed) his arms wind milling for
the horizon, it really looked as if he was going to
make it over the first wave. Those witnessing from shore
were sure he was going to make it over the wave were
shocked to see this surfer in a state of panic get off
his board half way up the wave bailing out and swimming
through the back of it. His leash must have stretched
25 feet from the impact of the wave as he was held under
for a few seconds. He had time to recover and get out
of the way of the following wave, but he didnft. In
his panic he froze.
The next wave exploded right on top of him. Net result
his leash stretched to 40 feet before it snapped sending
his surfboard into the shoreline rocks and him screaming
for the lifeguards to help. Fortunately for the humiliated
surfer, only his surfboard was broken and his ego bruised.
He survived learning a valuable lesson. He had allowed
his limited knowledge and ego to overrule wisdom and
the wise words from his surfing mentor by believing
his own hype. He understood going surfing this day for
him was not the wise thing to do.
Wave wizards realize the value of knowledge
but more importantly the wisdom to properly use it.
Knowledge can come in an instant gaining wisdom takes
time. Everything happens in itfs own time and cannot
be rushed. Like the caterpillar becoming a butterfly
one day at a time or the surfer becoming a wave
wizard one wave at a time each step is essential
for development. Becoming great wave wizard
or becoming anything for this matter takes time. Those
who take the time will find the greatest magic in the
world is knowledge and the wisdom to wield it accordingly.
Aloha.
