Tidal Wave Surfer's
There
is an exclusive club that exists. Everyone has an opportunity
to become a member. This exclusive club has fewer than
ten members worldwide. Many have wanted to join, but
something always held them back. Many have tried to
join but for various reasons couldn't do it. It is not
easy to get in this club and no one can buy their way
in. There are only two simple requirements to become
a member. 1. You have to know how to surf. 2. You have
to paddle in and successfully surf a wave legitimately
over 50 feet.
Being a surfer is the easy part. There are ten's of

more humans have walked in space than surfed a legitimate

limitations and doubts, to succeed at something many
people still believe impossible - surfing a tidal wave.
Why would anyone seriously want to surf a tidal wave
in the first place? Is the risk worth the reward?
Big wave surfers ride tidal waves because they are compelled.
A fire inside fueled by desire, compels tides to rise,
waves to roll, the sun to shine, and a big wave surfer
to surf big waves. Compelled individuals do things because
they want to and feel they have to. When someone is
compelled to achieve positive goals they press forward
because they have to, it's what they do. Reward is not
found in fortune and fame but rather in realizing a
dream.
Big wave surfing rewards far exceed financial compensation.
Unlike other professional sports where participants
receive million-dollar salaries, big wave surfers do
it purely from the heart. Many jobs are a lot safer
than big wave surfing and pay a whole lot better. When
one is compelled with a positive goal, money is not
a deciding motivator. The difference can be compared
with two artists. One artist paints because she is inspired
and compelled, the other waits for a commission fee
to get started and doesn't pick up a brush purely for
the love of painting. A great body of work comes from
many artists who's only payment was they got to work.
When we earnestly do the things we truly love, we are
compelled, filled with endless enthusiasm and boundless
strength. Hours fly by like seconds and life acquires
real meaning. Those who are compelled, allow nothing
to stop them from fulfilling their personal aspirations
and life's dreams. These are the ones who experience
life at it's fullest. Experience is the abundant compensation
on which no financial value can ever be placed.
Members of the exclusive 50 feet and over club allow
nothing to detour, sway, stand in the way or circumvent
their focus in pursuit of surfing large waves. Fear
doesn't get in the way, nor finances, or any other would
