out. Of the few surfers that made surfing history
this day, the Willis bros did it twice first surfing
in the morning when the swell had full impact and then
again in the afternoon when the swell had dropped to
80 feet plus.

safety experts:
Both Willis brothers are certified professional
rescuers. The Willis brothers have performed
successful rescues under extreme hazardous conditions
many times. Sharing their vast ocean experience they
have accumulated over years they have taught and continue
to teach thousands how to be safer in the ocean.
Milton Willis is recognized with a certificate of
successful rescue under extreme hazardous surf
conditions from the City and County of Honolulu
for putting his life on the line (once again) in a dramatic
mothers day rescue on the North Shore of Oahu,
Hawaii. He is credited with saving many lives
including twin sisters in a intense rescue, which was
written about by the North Shore Surfing News.
Many of the reccues Milton has preformed have been in
high surf.
Michael Willis is credited with many
life saving rescues risking his own life. Many of Michaels
rescues take place in large surf. Michael is credited
with pulling Hawaiian David Kahanamoku out of
the jaws of the famous Waimea Bay shore break
after Kahanamoku had suffered a broken ankle. In one
of the most extreme rescues ever-recorded Michael rescued
legendary Hawaiian big wave surfer,
Titus Kinimaka saving his life. The Hawaiian
surfer from Kauai wiped out breaking his leg on a huge
wave at Waimea Bay in Hawaii. With
powerful 20-foot waves on the outside and a dangerous
10-foot pounding shore break on the inside there was
no way to get Kinimaka to the shore safely. After securing
the situation and calling in back up Michael used reassuring
words and his body heat protecting Kinimaka from hypothermia
and going into shock. This successful rescue ended up
involving a group of great surfers
and a helicopter. Andy Martin wrote about this dramatic
rescue in his book the cult classic Walking on Water.
"Milton Willis and Michael
Willis are amongst the world's best watermen" -Robbie

Community
Service:
WBsurfing has long worked successfully with youth
groups, outreach programs, organizations, and clubs.
Surfing promotes positive life values and skills crucial
for success that can be applied to personal, family,
school, and community relationships. Wbsurfing programs
benefit inner city youth, disadvantaged children, mentally
or physically challenged individuals and others. When
you bring a child or teen to the beach the natural surroundings
are ideal for learning and growing. Teens and pre-teens
learn more than how to surf they learn what they can
do and most importantly how to ride the waves of success.
"A big Mahalo for
your kokua you helped make it all possible!!!"
-Chris Rutgers, youth coordinator for Outdoor Outreach
Some of the toughest inner city kids found out surfing
fundamentals and principals crucial for success
can be applied to personal, family school and community
relationships for life transforming results. A group
of Somalian youth enjoyed the sport of surfing for the
first time learning to ride more than ocean waves; they
learned to ride the waves of success. Autistic and other
mentally unique individuals are known to have tremendous
breakthroughs and a whole lot of fun while surfing.
They say the ocean is the worlds greatest washing
machine because it leaves you feeling so clean. Surfing
promotes physical and mental health, inner strength,
and harmony.
Through out the year WBsurfing is helping others to
raise money for valuable life changing causes including
childrens hospitals, high schools, youth clubs
and organizations. WBsurfing donates products, information
and services to noteworthy surfing charities
and organizations.
